Hunter Smith, punter for the Indianapolis Colts, just won a Super Bowl this past Sunday in Florida, but has now moved in a new direction - signing a record contract with Christian label INO Records.The football player’s group, Connersvine, is an acoustic duo consisting of Smith and Chris Wilson, who both lead worship at the Every Nation Church in Indianapolis.
"Winning the Super Bowl has been one of the highlights of my life and career. It is completely humbling that God has allowed me to not only be a part of an amazing football team, but also is giving me the chance to pursue His calling in music," said Smith in Jesus Freak Hideout, a Christian music resource website and ministry. "I feel just as strong of a call to worship leading and ministering through music as I do in football."
