Podcast Update

As you may know, a November edition of the Walking with the Giant podcast has not been released. The reasons for this are many. However, a combination November/December episode will be released the first of next week as a Christmas special. It will contain information about how Christmas is celebrated in Ghana, West Africa and an interview with a representative from Samaritan's Purse discussing Operation Christmas Child. You'll also hear some Christmas music! I'll let you know when the episode is available for download.

If you receive the program via audio CD, it should be mailed by Tuesday and will hopefully arrive to you before Christmas. Your CD subscription will also be extended by one month due to the combining of two programs. Visit the Walking with the Giant website for information on receiving the program each month on audio CD.

The monthly podcast, Walking with the Giant, for November has been delayed. My travel and ministry schedule, along with our DVD distribution has been such that I am just beginning the production of the program for November 2006. The October 2006 edition of the Walking with the Giant Podcast is now online and available for download.

The special guest for this month's program is Junior Combs and Southern Joy, a Southern Gospel trio from Baldwin, Florida. They won the prestigious group talent competition during the 2006 National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky in September. The trio features veteran Southern Gospel singer Junior Combs, his 18 year old daughter Jessica and his 11 year old son Wesley. The interview also features two songs from their first CD, Expressions From The Heart. You may have heard of another Gospel Music singer with the name "Combs" . It is Michael Combs. Junior and Michael are related. Talent runs in that family.

The program also features an excerpt from a message titled Forsaking All that I preached at First Baptist Church of Lake Butler, Florida on September 27, 2006. I made a special announcement during this message about a new chapter in this ministry.

The program begins with the Ghana Update from our JCEA Ministry Coordinator. Evangelist Ralph gives us some information about a revival service in Teshie, Ghana-West Africa that he will be preaching.

Southern Joy

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of interviewing Junior Combs and Southern Joy, a Southern Gospel Music trio. This group took first place in the group talent competition, September 16th, during the 2006 National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. The interview along with a couple of the group's songs will be featured on the October 2006 episode of Walking with the Giant. The program will be available online the first week of October.
