Evolutionists, Creationists Reminded of Darwin's Support for Christian Missions
NOTE: This is an interesting story.
The man most often pinpointed as the root of the clashes between atheist evolutionists and Christian creationists was actually a life-long defender of Christian missionary works, reminded the author of a recent report.
Charles Darwin, best known as the father of the evolution theory, was not anti-religion as many nowadays believe, but rather he had planned to be an Anglican priest and was moved by missionary efforts to reach uncivilized people.

The root of the clahes between modern biology and creationists is modern creationism's disdain for science and evidence. Darwin and virtually all of the great thinkers of his day were theist creationists who looked at the evidence and saw that it suggested things other than what they had believed: that the earth was old, that life was not static nor degrading, and so on.
I personally do not have a "disdain for science and evidence" as you put it, but I do believe the Bible. The Bible is a book of faith. In fact the way to salvation is through faith (Eph. 2:8-9).
I do find stories from time to time that disagrees with "current" science and supports the Bible, but, for some reason, these do not gain widespread attention. I do have "faith" that one day we will find that the Bible and science are pretty close to each other. Of course, by that time, we may not really care.
Thanks so much for your comment. I would love to hear from others.
