Macclenny Festival Was Great

The Macclenny Christmas Festival and Parade went very well on Saturday. We had a great opportunity to share the JCEA Christmas JOY Box Ministry with a lot of people. I manned an exhibit for the program during the downtown festival and had several churches, businesses and individuals that expressed an interest in participating in this ministry for local nursing homes.

During the lighted Christmas parade, we had a golf cart decorated as a large Christmas present followed by "walking" Christmas presents. JOY Box flyers and stickers for children were distributed all along the parade route. Over 1,000 flyers were distributed during the two events.

I want to thank a few folks for their valuable help with Saturday's events. It would not have been possible without their efforts:

  • Davis Golf Carts of Macclenny for use of a golf cart
  • Donnie King for construction assistance and driving the cart in the parade
  • "Walking Christmas Presents": Ernie and Sonja St. John, Tara Thompson, Sarah St. John, Kate Thompson, Alexx St. John, Rose Thompson
Even though these names are listed only once, they all assisted in several areas to help promote the program and bring honor to the name of Jesus. I can't say "thank you" enough for their efforts.

NOTE: Have you made plans to participate in the JOY Box Ministry? Here are some links that will provide you with more information:
