Capitol Architect backs down, dumps ban on 'God'

In a dramatic about face, the Architect of the Capitol has decided he will no longer ban the word "God" from certificates accompanying flags that have flown over the U.S. Capitol.

The move comes after 165 members of Congress sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California), urging her to overturn a policy prohibiting political and religious statements in flag certificates.
