Company says chaplain helps worker productivity

A Georgia company that specializes in preparing applicants for the U.S. Postal Exam says it believes a key part of its success lies in the stabilizing effect of its corporate chaplaincy program.

Exam Services of Norcross, Georgia, was founded in 2005 with two workers. It now employs 500. They claim to service more than 5,000 postal exam candidates a week with study materials and educational supplements for the U.S. Postal Services' Postal Battery Exam. Spokeswoman Jennifer Sheran says company founder Tyler Long attributes his success to a decision he made during start-up that helps workers and staff members maintain productivity in the face of life's situations that have on-the-job influences. The decision was to have a full-time company chaplain.
