Washington state capitol officials agree to allow Nativity scene display

Officials at the Washington state capitol have agreed to allow a private citizen to display a Nativity scene on behalf of citizens who celebrate Christmas.

Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) filed a lawsuit last year, after Ron Wesselius was told he could not display a Nativity scene at the state capitol in Olympia, although a menorah and a holiday tree were displayed. State officials have agreed to a settlement that will allow the Nativity scene to go up this season.
