Archie Manning helps husband fulfill deceased wife's wish

GREENVILLE, Miss. (BP)–-The Manning family -– dubbed “the first family of college football” by some sports experts -– always has been special to Mark Kelly.

A native Mississippian and longtime fan of the Ole Miss Rebels -– where Archie and son Eli became two of the school’s most famous record-setting quarterbacks -– the love of the Mannings is in Kelly’s sports DNA.

“I guess my relationship with the Manning family began the same way any other person’s in the Mississippi Delta did -– I was born,” Kelly, youth minister at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Greenville, Miss., told Baptist Press.
