Podcast For Students Highlights International Missions

RICHMOND, Va. (BP)--The International Mission Board has joined the world of podcasting with the launch of its “podTask,” taking students on missions adventures around the world.

With its weekly updates on iTunes and thetask.org, the podTask is full of information for students to get involved with international missions by hearing about what others are doing around the world in proclaiming Jesus’ name.

Ricky Gibson, producer of the podTask, said the IMB’s student mobilization team aims “to stay on the cutting edge –- as much as a [nonprofit] can with limited budget, people and manpower –- and offer our audience a way of getting international student missions stories.

Students need to hear from other people their age about their experiences as God uses them, Gibson said, noting that podTask will seek to convey the message that God uses everyone, no matter what age, to fulfill the Great Commission.
